Mr. Rakesh Joshi is an Independent Director of CCIL since April 2024.      

Mr. Rakesh Joshi is a BFSI professional with over 39 years of experience in Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking, Investment Banking and Insurance. He was a Whole Time Member (WTM) of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) from March 2022 to December 2023. At present he is Member of Risk Management Committee and Insurance Advisory Committee of IRDAI. Prior to his appointment at IRDAI, he was Executive Vice President & Group Head (Debt Capital Markets), SBI Capital Markets Ltd and had been associated with State Bank of India from year 1984 to 2008. He has also been Principal Business Advisor at Calypso Technologies.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Presidency College, Kolkata and has also cleared Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB)- Part I.
