Mr. Arun Kumar Pandey is an Executive Vice President and Head of Derivatives at CCIL.

As Head Derivatives, Mr. Pandey heads the Clearing and Settlement operations of Rupee OIS trades referenced to MIBOR benchmark and Rupee IRS trades referenced to Modified MIFOR benchmark. He also heads the trading platform “ASTROID”, a platform where Rupee OIS instruments are traded. He heads the Trade Repository (TR) where the electronic records of all the OTC Derivatives trades which are reported by the Banks are held. He also leads CCIL’s wholly owned subsidiary, LEIL, a Local Operating Unit (LOU) for issuing globally compatible LEIs to Indian entities.

Prior to joining CCIL, he has served India’s largest Commercial Bank, viz. State Bank of India (SBI), for more than two decades. During his tenor at SBI, he has handled various assignments in Treasury, Risk, Credit and Retail Banking, including an overseas stint at SBI’s Singapore office. 

He is a Charter holder from CFA Institute and a Financial Risk Manager – certified by Global Association of Risk Professionals (FRM). He holds a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) and is keenly interested in developing new products and services in Derivatives area for Indian Financial Markets.
