About us

Dr. Meena Hemchandra is an Independent Director of CCIL since January 2019. 

She retired as an Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India in November 2017, after serving the organization for over 35 years. She has experience of handling various departments at RBI viz Foreign Exchange Management, Treasury Management, Supervision and Regulation, etc.  She has also acted both as the faculty and the Principal of the Reserve Bank’s College of Agricultural Banking. She advises on banking sector regulation, financial matters and cyber-security/IT governance in banks.

She holds Master of Arts (Economics) from Madurai Kamraj University. She is also qualified CAIIB and CFA. She also holds PhD in Economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. She has also received executive training on advance risk management from the Wharton School, USA.
